Warren Beatty, starring as an L.A. Rams backup quarterback who gets plucked from this Earth by an overzealous angel, rides along Kanan-Dume Road in Malibu just before heading into a tunnel and that fateful extradition. Heaven Can Wait, from a screenplay by Elaine May, and co-directed by Beatty and Buck Henry, was released by Paramount Pictures in 1978.
