Fred Ward plays writer Henry Miller, Richard E. Grant is Hugh Guiler, or Ian Hugo, engraver/filmmaker and longtime husband to Anais Nin, in a jaunty autumnal cycling scene from Philip Kaufman’s 1990 biopic, Henry & June. (June was played by Uma Thurman, Anais Nin by Maria Madeiros.) The Universal Pictures release was given an NC-17 rating for its steamy sex scenes, and for shots of Grant riding a bike in tweedy plus fours.
