Comedy star Red Skelton is going nowhere fast, cycling atop bike rollers alongside tandem wheelers Tommy Dugan and Ben Lessy. All three are between scenes in Merton of the Movies,  a period comedy about the Silent Era. MGM released the film–  “a howling hit about Hollywood,” per the tagline– in 1947.
