Hollywood star Mickey Rooney takes a spot in the bike basket as his son, Tim Rooney, gets ready for a ride. The duo costarred in the 1964 ABC sitcom, Mickey, about a family that runs a hotel in Newport Beach. The younger Rooney, whose mother was the singer Betty Jane Rase (aka B. J. Baker) appeared in a number of Sixties TV shows, and in the films Village of the Giants and Riot on Sunset Strip. His dad had a career in show biz spanning nine decades, beginning with silent films in the Twenties, and credits on more than 300 movies and TV shows, including the hugely popular Andy Hardy franchise in the 1930s and 1940s. He received four acting Oscar nominations and an honorary Academy Award in 1983 and was married eight times.
