Marguerite Chapman, the New York model-turned-actress who went to Hollywood just before World War II and worked in film — and then TV — through the late Seventies, does a workout on a stationary bike. It’s 1941 and Chapman has signed to Warner Bros. Pictures, nabbing the part of one of the Navy Blues Sextette in the musical comedy Navy Blues. Ann Sheridan, Jack Oakie, Jackie Gleason and Martha Raye starred. Chapman doesn’t seem to mind being boxed in by a newspaper composing room layout guy’s cropping crayon. Photo: Bert Longworth.
