Lisa Blount is perched atop an International (IBC) ten-speed, which, in fact, was a rebranded Bridgestone bike from the early Seventies. (Note the Bridgestone-identifying “World’s Finest Bicycle Precision Mechanism” decal on the down tube.) The photo, from Julian Wasser, was taken in 1983, following the release the previous year of Paramount Pictures’ An Officer and a Gentleman, in which the actress starred opposite David Keith, Richard Gere and Debra Winger. Blount, who went on to win an Oscar as a producer of the live-action short “The Accountant,”  died of a rare blood disorder when she was 53.
