Jinx Falkenburg, riding a Schwinn in a 1942 photo, was born in Barcelona and raised in Chile before her family — father and mother tennis pros — moved to Los Angeles. Jinx dropped out of Hollywood High to pursue a modeling career. She signed with Warner Bros., was the first Miss Rheingold beer queen, appeared on dozens of magazine covers and then signed with Columbia Pictures, where she appeared in a string of films, including Sweetheart of the Fleet, Lucky Legs and Laugh Your Blues Away.
