Janette Scott, the British actress who went on to star in School For Scoundrels, The Devil’s Disciple and Day of the Triffids, is on her Phillips “Manhattan Model” 3-speed, just arrived in front of her parents’ Hyde Park home. It’s 1954, and Scott, only 16, has signed a 10-year contract with the Italian film producer-director Mario Zampi. Their first collaboration: 1956’s Now and Forever. Scott would later marry cool-cat crooner Mel Tormé.
