Doris Davenport models a neat cycling outfit in a publicity photo released by United Artists when the actress starred opposite Gary Cooper in 1940’s The Westerner.  A few years earlier, under the name Doris Jordan, she was one of the finalists for the role of Scarlett O’Hara in Gone with the Wind.
