Broadway chorines ride scooters and trikes.

July 30, 2021

A bevy of costumed chorines — including an uncredited Lucille Ball, Susan Fleming and Ann Sothern — wheel around a giant nightclub stage to the tune of “When You Were a Girl on a Scooter (And I Was the Boy on the Bike)”. The Mack Gordon/Harry Revel number comes middway through Broadway Thru a Keyhole, a pre-Code musical based on an original story by gossip columnist king Walter Winchell. The 1933 film was released by United Artists. A not-bad video of the entire film is free on YouTube, here.
