Bob Hope and Bing Crosby, box office kings of the 1940s and 1950s Road franchise, stop to chat on the Paramount lot. Bing’s on his special Minute Maid Schwinn (Crosby was the longtime spokesman for the OJ brand), Hope is on his eponymous bike (his name is on the sign hanging from the top tube).
Here’s the snipe: “PLAID PAJAMAS? Bob Hope and Bing Crosby are quite a sight as they peddle around the Paramount lot in, of all things, plaid pajamas! No, the boys haven’t gone Hollywood. The striking p.j.’s are part of their outlandish wardrobes for Paramount’s Road to Bali, the new Technicolor comedy in which they are again teamed with Dorothy Lamour. Hal Walker directed the film and Harry Tugend produced.” –Dec. 15, 1952
